Wow. I can relate, losing my mom to breast cancer when she was only 54. I still think she's here, 14 years later. I actually wrote about it, and the newspaper did a review of my anthology which was printed in Voices of Breast Cancer, stating that Patti McKenna wrote a ghost story and it was published in a book about cancer. Never thought of it like that until then.

I believe your mom is with you, as I believe mine is with me. On a very real level. Thanks for reminding me of that.

We're here for you, honey. I know this must be an incredibly difficult, surreal kind of experience. I truly hope that by being able to write about your feelings here, you're able to heal and to lessen your emotional burden. Thank you for trusting us with your feelings.

Caroline, thank you for sharing this haunting experience with us.

I still expect to see my Grandpa rolling by in his car stalking us to see if we're home. I wonder if he'll drop by the next gathering or not.

I cannot at all fathom losing my mother. And my heart goes out to you. You're such a beautiful person and I'm so sorry you've suffered this unthinkable loss.
