Oh my goodness! All I can do is laugh. I can imagine that happening to us only I'd be the one catching it and tossing it in our backyard.

I see snakes daily in my yard (live in FL, too). And I generally have a live and let live attitude, as long as they are not poisonous. And they have been in the garage. In the house? Oh hell to the no! But I would have had a hard time convincing my hubby to not just kill it! Great patience and good job!

As I clicked onto your blog via my blackberry (knowing full well what I was abouto read) I noticed the blue bar headed for the right side of my screen saying "loading images". No thanks, I said aloud. Just send me right on through to your article please. I read quickly enough that the first few pics were red x's. YES....great plan. Until my blackberry decided warp speed loading was now needed and caught up just in time for me to catch the pic of the snake stretched out in all his glory.....so there's that. I can so deal with a little dust. No worries. Done. I will, however, be wearing my knee high camoflauge snake proof boots next time. Just sayin'

OMG. I love snakes, but I'm pretty sure I would've done the same thing you did. I found a LONG snakeskin in my garage once, almost 6 feet. I think it was from a black snake. I rationalized that a black snake would eat rattlesnakes, so I was glad to have it hanging around. :)

But seriously, not INSIDE the house.
